About the Role
We are seeking a Private Equity Research Intern to support our team's work with private equity clients and PE-backed portfolio companies. This role offers unique exposure to both the buy-side and sell-side perspectives in private equity transactions.
You'll work closely with our senior bankers to understand PE investment strategies, support sponsor relationships, and contribute to transactions involving financial buyers.
Responsibilities
- Research and maintain database of private equity firms, their investment criteria, and portfolio companies
- Support outreach to financial sponsors for sell-side and capital raising mandates
- Analyze PE fund performance, investment themes, and market trends
- Build LBO models and returns analyses for sponsor-backed transactions
- Prepare materials for meetings with private equity clients
- Track PE deal activity and prepare market intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Strong interest in private equity and alternative investments
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial modeling preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
